Murray Freeman Keddy 2006 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Sunday, November 12, 2006. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Murray Freeman Keddy, Halifax, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2006, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Halifax, March 13, 1921, he was a son of the late Stanley St.Clair and Ethel (Langille) Keddy. As an accountant, he, along with his father and brother, Roland, established the family business, S.S. Keddy and Sons. He served with the Canadian Army in the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Army Pay Corps. He was an avid amd accomplished golfer and was a member of the Brightwood Golf and Country Club for many years. He was an active member on the finance and building committees. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hilda Bell (Francis); daughters, Joanne, Haifax; Terry (Tony Goode), Dartmouth; Julie (Steven) Dore, Ottawa; grandchildren, Charles Goode, Lennoxville; Jonathan Goode, Toronto; Elizabeth and Andrew Dore, Ottawa and his niece and nephew. He was predeceased by his brother, Roland Keddy. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Windsor Street, Halifax, on Tuesday, November 14. The memorial service willl be held in St. Mathias Anglican Church, Windsor Street at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, November 15, followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment to follow in Camp Hill Cemetery for the family. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or the Nova Scotia branch of the Canadian Cancer Society.
