Myrtle Purdy 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Gwen Christie Myrtle Purdy, Liverpool, died suddenly Friday, November 23, 2001, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, in her 85th. year. Born in Blockhouse, she was a daughter of the late William and Effie (Veinot) Ernst. She was an active member of Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool. She will always be a loving, giving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Forever in our hearts, may she now be with God. She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Donna; son-in-law, Barry Cox, Toronto; grandchildren, Dana, Sherri, and Tracey, all of Toronto; sister, Isabelle Lohnes, Mahone Bay; brothers, Henry, Calgary; Edward, Wenham, Massachusetts. Myrtle was predeceased by brothers, Evan, Arnie, Fenwick, Harry, and Wendall. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today in Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool, Canon K.M. Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Road, Liverpool. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to a charity of choice.
