Brenda Jean Fehr 2004 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, August 13, 2004. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Brenda Jean Fehr, 60, Hebbville/Upper Ohio, passed away August 10, 2004, in Roseway Hospital, Shelburne after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Shelburne on June 21, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Evelyn (Harris) Bower (Upper Ohio). She graduated from Shelburne Regional High School and was employed by CIBC. She resided in Toronto, Stellarton, Hebbville, and of late, Upper Ohio. She loved quilt making, curling, and jigsaw puzzles. She was a wiling worker for the Dawson Daisy, Hebbville Fire Department, and many community affairs but her greatest devotion was to homemaking and her family. In 1970 she unselfishly donated a kidney to her brother, Alan, in a lifesaving transplant. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Leslie; sons, Blaine (Tina), Upper Ohio; Wade (Heather), Hebbville; John (Lisa), Lower Ohio; her cherished grandchildren, Lucas, Sarah, Trevor, and Jamie; brother, Alan (Barbara), Upper Ohio; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by brother, Brian. Funeral service 2 p.m. today in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Shelburne, Rev. Troy Dennis officiating. Flowers from family only.
