Alvin Lincoln Freeman 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: October 29, 2001. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Alvin Lincoln Freeman, 93, Windsor Junction, died October 28, 2001, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Greenfield, he was a son of the late Atwood and Annie (Amberg) Freeman. He was in the Merchant Marines during the Second World War and was employed with Electrolux Canada for over 35 years and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 90, Waverley. He loved to dance, hunt, and fish. Surviving are daughters, Virginia (John) Webb, Victoria; Alverna (Jean) LeBlanc, Wellington; sons, Wayne (Karen), Ottawa; Eugene (Joan), Mississauga; stepson, Stephen (Ginette) Bouchie, Windsor Junction; sisters, Muriel, Brooklyn; Hilda, Mill Village; brothers, Leigh, Sudbury; Forman (Marjorie), Hillsvale; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Winnifred Stephen; daughter, Barbara; son, Reginald; brothers, Robie, Gordon; sisters, Myrtle, Irene. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, Sackville, where memorial service will be held 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. IainMacdonald officiating. Burial in Fall River Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch.
