    3. Edward Malcolm Turner 1994 Halifax Chronicle Herald Edward Malcolm Turner, 89, New Ross, died March 29, 1994, in the Mahone Bay Nursing Home. Born at Lake Ramsay, he was a son of the late Newton and Ethel (Keddy) Turner. He was a lumberman, cooper, highway foreman, and a fur buyer for over 60 years before his retirement. He was well-known in the rural South Shore area andd parts of the Valley, where he bought fur for over 50 years. He was very active in community and political affairs until his illness five years ago. He was a member of Christ Anglican Church Lunenburg County Christmas Tree Producers Association; Nova Scotia Forest Products Association; New Ross Farmers Association; Norwood Lodge, New Ross; Hillcrest Lodge, New Germany; New Ross Senior Citizens and the provincial Progressive Conservative Party. He was a former church warden and school trustee for many years. He was a founding member of the Ross Farm in New Ross. He is survived by two sons, Arlyn, Pleasant River; Erwin, Bridgewater; daughter, Holly (Mrs. Eldon Gunn), Dartmouth; three brothers, Gordon, Courtney, Chester, all of New Ross; sister, Vivian (Mrs. Nelson Keddy), New Ross; five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Beulah Freeman; an infant daughter, Heather; brother, Linwood; three sisters, Violet, Ruth, and Nina.Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, New Ross, where a Norwood Lodge service will be 7 p.m. tonight. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Christ Anglican Church, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Burial will be in the New Ross Anglican Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Christ Anglican Church or any charity.
