Stephen Todd Mader 1993 Halifax Chronicle Herald Stephen Todd Mader, 26, Dartmouth, died August 15, 1993, as the result of a boating accident. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Louise (Mason) Mader, Dartmouth and the late Arthur Mader. He was employed with the Registry of Motor Vehicles and was a distributor with Amway Corporation of Canada. He was active with the Nova Scotia Flying Wheels, wheelchair basketball. He also served for seven years in the Naval Reserves and was a qualified naval diver. He is survived by two sisters, Susan, Sharon, both of Dartmouth; maternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy (Dunn) Mason, Springfield; several uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, George and Gladys (Westhaver) Mader. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in South End United Baptist Church, Hastings Drive, Dartmouth, Rev. Bill Heatley officiating. Burial will be in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Flying Wheels - Basketball, Canadian Paraplegic Association or Spinal Cord Research Fund, Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre.
