Anna E. Whynot 2008 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Anna E. Whynot, 74, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Monday, December 15, 2008. Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late William and Meadie (Shubley) Roy. Anna worked in the housekeeping department of Queens General Hospital for over 20 years until her retirement. She was also as honourary member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Liverpool Firefighters Association. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Wolfe (Dwight Stafford) of Milton; son, James (Debbie) of Milton; stepdaughters, Beverley (Thomas) Whynot of Liverpool and Joanne (John) Wolfe of Milton; stepsons, Stephen of British Columbia; Tim (Brenda), Richard, Kevin (June), Gary (Paula) and Byron (Julie), all of Liverpool; six grandchildren; 16 stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild; stepsister, Shirley (Al) Thornborrow of Toronto. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; companion, Claude Thorburne; stepmother, Uda (Hirtle) Wentzell; sons, Rodney and Charles; granddaughter, Brenda Lee; sisters, Betty Joudrey, Emma Schrader, Dorothy Schrader, Fairy Schrader, Marie Wolfe; infant sisters, Dolly, Pearlie, Susie, Sylvia, Ruth, Hazel, and Nancy; brothers, Stanley "Hank," William, Eugene, Gordon, John, and Ross. Visitation will be this evening, Thursday, December 18, from 7-9 p.m. and funeral service will be held Friday, December 19 at 11 a.m. both in Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool, Captain Kirk MacLeod officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
