Mildred Lulu Fancy 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Mildred Lulu Fancy, 86, Mahone Bay, passed away February 5, 2007, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Clearland, she was a daughter of the late Captain Clarence and Clara (Awalt) Burgoyne. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, the Retired Teachers Association, and the Federal Superannuates Association. She had taught at a number of schools in Lunenburg County including Watford, North River, Clearland, New Germany, and Barss Corner. After her teaching career she had worked for 17 years with the Federal Government in the Department of National Defence.She will be sadly missed by her family and friends and will be remembered as a great lady. She is survived by sister, Marjorie Rice, Ottawa; nephews, Deryk McGrath, Belleview, Ontario; Dana Rice and Jeffrey Burgoyne, both of Ottawa; nieces, Debra Burgoyne, Ottawa; Kimberly McGregor, New Jersey; several nieces, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Eldred; brother, George; aunts, Blanche, Betty, and Marion. Visiting will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Stephen Kristenson officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Clearland. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Hillside Cemetery, Clearland, through Mahone Funeral Home.
