Edna Elizabeth Veinot 2001 The Daily News >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Edna Elizabeth Veinot, Bridgewater, passed away May 21, 2001, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Pleasant River, she was a daughter of the late Sylvanus and Alva (Herman) Veinot. Edna was the post mistress in Pleasant River, a clerk at N.F. Douglas Store in Caledonia, and housekeeper at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church Rectory in Halifax until her retirement in 1998. She is survived by her niece, Carol Gould, Bridgewater; nephew, Gary Rhindress, Courtenay, British Columbia; great-nieces, Vicki (Leo) Blinn; Lori Gould; great-nephew, Michael Drew (Sandy and Nikki O'Melia); great great-nephews, Daniel and Stephen Blinn, all of Bridgewater; special friend, Father Jack Hayes, Dartmouth. She was predeceased by her sisters, Inez Rhindress, Florence Dauphinee; nephew, Dvid Rhindress. Visitation will be held today in Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and at which time funeral service will be held, Father Jack Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Lake View Cemetery, Pleasant River. Donations may be made to The Lung Association or a charity of choice.
