Clyde Arnold Getson 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Clyde Arnold Getson, 85, Bridgewater, passed away November 2, 2007, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in LaHave, he was a son of he late Eldon and Mary (Publicover) Getson. He was a veteran of the Second World War where he was a POW for four years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 24, Bridgewater for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret LeGay; brothers, Raymond (Marie), LaHave; Ralph (Evelyn), Upper LaHave. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held Sunday from 7-9 p.m. with a public Legion tribute service being held at 7 p.m., all in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, West Dublin. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 24, Bridgewater Poppy Fund.
