Alda Lorraine Publicover 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Alda Lorraine Publicover, 78, Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully in Dartmouth General Hospital on January 27, 2007. Born in Dorchester, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Camelle and Euphemie LeBlanc. Alda worked for 17 years as a clerk with MT&T and was also a member of the Waverley Legion for 30 years. She had many interests including swimming as well as bowling, where she played in several leagues and won many trophies. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Eric; sons, Eric Jr., Northern Ontario; Gregory (Anne), Lower Sackville; Stephen, Lower Sackville; daughter, Pamela (Paul Connors); grandchildren; Alan, Michelle, Gregory; great-grandchildren, Eric and Justin. Alda came from a large family, being one of nine children. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, Lower Sackville. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Waverley Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Waverley Legion.
