Frederick William Rhodenizer 2009 Halifax Chronicle Herald Frederick William Rhodenizer, 72, of Lunenburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Frederick and Del (Wagner) Rhodenizer. As a young man, Fred attended Kings College School in Windsor and was very involved in Army Cadets, winning many awards, including Best Cadet in the Maritimes. He was employed with the family-owned business, Fred Rhodenizer Electric, Bridgewater, during most of his working life. Fred was a generous and compassionate man who was always willing to reach out with a helping hand. His love of animals would often lead to the neighbourhood strays residing with the family. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Fred is survived by his wife, Frances Webber; daughters, Tosha (France Thibodeau) Rhodenizer, Ottawa; Ann (Scott) Morgan, Halifax; stepdaughters, Deborah (Scott McNeil) Beck, Grand Cayman Island; Shelly (Cecil Langille) Webber, Maitland; Kimberley Webber, Charleston; grandchildren, Dorian Thibodeaau, Jacob and Lindsey Morgan, Melanie Goulet, Alex and Joseph Langille. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, where a service to celebrate Fred's life will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, S.H.A.I.D. Tree Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice.
