Evelyn Belle Fancey 2001 The Daily News >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Evelyn Belle Fancey, 81, 505 Chisholm Street, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, April 8, 2001, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Ezekiel and Maude (Joudry) Oickle. An active member of the community, she faithfully attended First United Baptist Church and was treasurer of the Ladies Aid. She was treasurer of the Progressive Conservative Women's Association and an active member of the Aberdeen Hospital Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Everett; daughter, Patricia (Grant) Smith, St. Margaret's Bay and their children, Taira and Eric; Barbara, Bedford and her children, Mark and Jason; Brenda (Steven) Boudreau, New Glasgow and their children, Ryan, Stephanie, and Kelly; sister, Audrey Stuart, Bridgewater. She was predeceased by six brothers and four sisters. No visitation by request. Funeral service 2 p.m. today in First United Baptist Church, Rev. Alan Jorgenson officiating. Reception following in the church hall. Burial in Abercrombie Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Juvenile Diabetes Association, Aberdeen Hospital Auxiliary or a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
