Mrs. Sarah Catharine Robar 1950 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Mrs. Sarah Catharine Robar occurred at the home of her son, Randall, at Newburne, early on Saturday morning, August 12, at the age of 79 years. Although in poor health for many years, her death came as a shock to her many friends. Her husband, Joseph, predeceased her four years ago on the exact date. She was the daughter of the late Eli and Caroline Frank, of Upper Cornwall. She is survived by four sons, Randall, of Newburne; Wilbert, of New Cornwall; Fred, Gold River; and Clayton, of the United States; also two daughters, Gladys Mrs. George Rafuse, of Brooklyn, Annapolis County; Cyrilla, Mrs. Harry Barkhouse, of Church Lake. Two daughters predeceased her, Myrtle, Mrs. Wallace Nauss and Alice, in infancy. There also survive two sisters, Mrs. Cyrilla Rafuse, Upper Cornwall; Hannah, Mrs. Angus Zwicker, of Gold River; and two brothers, Samuel and Fred Frank, of Upper Cornwall. Four brothers and four sisters predeceased her. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The funeral service was conducted at the New Cornwall Baptist Church, of which she was a member, on Monday, by Dr. Simeon Spidle, of Mahone Bay. Interment was made in the United Church Cemetery, New Cornwall. The hymns sung were "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." The pallbearers were Louis Dauphinee, Frank Dauphinee, Stanley Hallamore, and Arthur Zwicker.
