Ruby May Marshall MacLean 1997 Halifax Chronicle Herald Ruby May Marshall MacLean, 88, Westville, formerly of Glengarry, Pictou County, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 1997, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in 1908 in East Dalhousie, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Mary Robar. She was an adherent of St. Paul's United Church. She was an avid card player, attending many games until recently. She is survived by sons, Malcolm and wife Jen Marshall, Rocklin; Albert and wife Florence Marshall, Westville; daughters, Mary Marshall, Westville; Ria and husband Lou MacLeod, Niagara Falls; Linda and husband Greg Pelerine, Stoney Creek, Ontario; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Cecil, Berwick; Burleigh, South Grafton, United States; sisters, Alic, ,Cambridge; Etta, Cape Cod. She was predeceased by her first husband, John R. Marshall; second husband, Vincent MacLean; infant son, Robert Marshall; brothers, Ernest, Guy, Leslie, Albert, Obie; sister, Lena. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, from where funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2, at 2 p.m., Rev. Joseph Lafave officiating. Interment will be in Birsch Hill Cemetery, Rocklin. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to any charity.
