Rocky D. Lowe 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Thursday, June 22, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Rocky D. Lowe, 44, Liverpool, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 21, 2000, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Liverpool, he was a son of Walter Lowe, Lunenburg and Deanne (Carver) Lowe, Brooklyn. He was a carpenter for most of his working life and was employed with Arnoldin Form Work of Halifax. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, traveling, tying flies, and was an exceptional card player, especially cribbage. He was a loving husband to his wife, Janice (Malone); a loving father to his children, daughter, Nicole, Middleton; and son, Walter, at home. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Judy Rhyno, Labelle and Peggy Gardner, Sandy Cove and his brothers, Larry, Mill Village and Blake, Sandy Cove; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Frank. Visitation will be today, Thursday, June 22, from 7 until 9 p.m. and funeral service will be held Friday, June 22, at 3 p.m., both in Chandlers' Funeral Chapel, Liverpool, Rev. Edward Powell officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the family.
