Pauline Marie Davis 2008 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Saturday, April 26, 2008. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Pauline Marie Davis, Hubbards, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, after a long and courageous battle with lymphoma. Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Oschar and Florence (Westhaver) Baker and stepfather Aaron Anesty. In spite of her illness, Pauline never lost her sense of humour and always kept a positive outlook. She loved people and had many friends. She had a passion for bingo and going to restaurants. Recently she received a plaque from the Hubbards District Fire Department for her long-standing service as a volunteer. She was a member of the Fox Point Lionettes for many years. Pauline was a regular parishioner at St. Luke's Anglican Church in Hubbards. She leaves behind her loving family, her husband, Harold; daughters, Mary Ellen (Rick Marryatt) Flinn, Hatchet Lake; Dorothy (Greg) Spinney, Coldbrook; Sherri (Stuart) Dow, Goodwood; Jane, Hubbards; Heidi (Stephen) Sangster, Waterville; son, Michael, Hubbards. Pauline also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Sara, Adam, Aaron, Jeremy, Jessica, Tracy, Lisa, Michael, Angela, Ryan, and Justin and her most special great-granddaughter, Danika. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, April 27, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards, Rev. Laurie Omstead officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lymphoma Foundation of Canada.
