Matthew James Zinck 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinot Matthew James Zinck, 28, Greenwood, passed away Friday, November 9, 2007, in Welton's Corner, Kings County as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Ralph Zinck and the former Clara Webster. Matthew was very social and enjoyed helping people. He was considered a "jack-of-all-trades." Matthew would do anything for anybody and enjoyed doing yard work for seniors. He took great pride in everything he did but most of all he enjoyed helping others. He loved outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. Matthew loved all music and really enjoyed going to live concerts. He loved his friends as much as he loved his family. He is survived by his mother, Clara (Sam) Newcombe, Morden; brothers, Scott (Terry) Harrigan, Wilmot; David Zinck, Morden; step-brothers, Rodney Vidito, Bridgetown; Kyle Vidito, Hillsburn; Timothy Vidito, Auburn; half-sister, Darlene; half-brother, Jack; nieces, Allison, Katelyn; nephews, Andrew, Thomas, Alexander, Stephen, Colton; maternal grandparents, Wendell and Jean Webster, Herring Cove; and several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, Ralph Zinck; stepfather, Beverly Vidito and paternal grandparents, John and Edith Zinck. Visitation will be held from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, in Middleton Funeral Home, Main Street; where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, Rev. Dr. William MacDougall officiating. Interment will be in Nictaux Cemetery. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Upper Room Food Bank or to a charity of choice.
