Bessie Lavinia Young 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Bessie Lavinia Young, 88, Western Shore, and more recently Northwood Centre, Halifax, passed away February 10, 2007, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Western Shore, she was a daughter of the late Clifford Ainsley and Florence (Vaughan) Young. She is survived by and will be sadly missed by daughter, Sheila and son-in-law Gordon Frank, Western Shore; grandchildren, Clifford Frank, Montreal and Marcia (Eric) Chafe, Trenton, Ontario; her pride and joy, great-grandson, Brandon; brother, Jim, Shoreham Village, Chester; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Phil and Fred Young; sisters, Hazel Mosher, Muriel Young, Emelyn Ernst, and Annie Butt. Visiting will be 7-9 p.m. today in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mark's Anglican Church, Martin's Point, Rev. Robert Brush officiating. Burial will be in Western Shore Baptist Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or St. Mark's Anglican Church through Mahone Funeral Home.
