Theodore Leon Keddy 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Thursday, June 22, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Theodore Leon Keddy, 78, Upper Kennetcook, and formerly of truro, passed away in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg, on June 21, 2000, after a short battle with cancer. Affectionately known to many as "Bub," he was born at the Forties on June 18, 1922, the son of the late Edward and Loretta (Bezanson) Keddy. He worked for John Ross and Sons in Truro for 41 years. He was partner in Keddy Christmas Tree Company of the Forties for 40 years. While living in Truro, he met and married Margaret Griffin, New Glasgow. Bub was a member, past master and past district deputy grand master of the Masonic Lodge 43 AF&AM, Truro. He was a chartered member of Norwood Lodge 135 AF&AM, New Ross. He was also a member of the Shriners. Bub and his wife enjoyed retirement living in their country home in Upper Kennetcook and frequent travels. Besides his wife, he is survived by sister, Frances; brother, Douglas, both of the Forties; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Seaward, Lloyd, Gordon, George; sisters, Florence (Fancy), Alberta (Rhodenizer), Doris and Rhena. Visitation will be held in Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro, today from 7-9 p.m. with a Masonic Lodge 43 tribute service at 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held in Lindsay's Funeral Home, New Ross, on Friday from 2-5, 7-9 p.m. with Norwood Lodge 135 tribute service at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held in St. Augustine's Church, the Forties, on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., with a graveside service in St. Augustine's Cemetery and reception to follow at the Forties Community Centre. Donations in memory may be made to St. Augustine's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society.
