Effie Rita Conrad 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Effie Rita Conrad, 95, Liverpool, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Lettie (Conrad) Barnes. Effie loved her flower garden and doing embroidery. She was an avid country music fan and loved dancing. She is survived by daughters, Geraldine (Kim) Risser, Bridgewater; Sharon Dagley, Liverpool; Valerie (Tony) Roy, Mersey Point; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Oickle, Bridgewater; Mildred Snyder, Lower Chelsea. She was predeceased by husband, Emerson; son, Robert; brothers, Arthur and Albert. Visitation will be held Friday, February 16, from 7-9 p.m., and funeral service will be held Saturday, February 17, at 11 a.m. , both in Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool, Rev. David Hatt officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Liverpool. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Cancer Society.
