Dexter, 43, of Liverpool, formerly of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at home. Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of Smith and Ellis (Malone) Anthony. Joanne worked at Halifax Shipyards in the accounting department. She loved music and walking the beach. Surviving besides her parents are her son, Nicholas of Dartmouth; sister, Evie (Barrie) Clark of Lower Sackville and brother, Paul (Sandra) of Milton, Ontario. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool, where a memorial service will be held Friday, March 27, at 11 a.m., Rev. Judy Cross officiating. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the S.P.C.A., Queens County Branch.
