Marilyn Louise Cooke 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Marilyn Louise Cooke, 43, Maplewood, died December 14, 2000, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of Ralph Brittain, Brooklyn, Yarmouth County and the late Marjorie (Devine) Brittain. She had been employed with the Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany since 1987 as a personal care worker. She was also the chairperson and local union representative. Surviving are her husband, Theodore "Ted" Cooke; daughter, Amanda; son, Kyle, both at home; sisters, Sandra Nickerson, Brenda Robicheau, both of Cheggogin; brothers, Harry, Montreal; James, South Ohio; Crandall, Brooklyn; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant brother. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Sunday in New Germany Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday in Parkdale-Maplewood United Baptist Church, Parkdale, Rev. Greg Denton officiating. Burial at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations to any charity.
