Cecil F. Robar 2002 Halifax Chronicle Herald Cecil F. Robar, 86, Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville, formerly of Lake Paul, died December 19, 2002. Born in Dalhousie, he was a son of the late Freeman and Amelia (Arenburg) Robar. He drove a lumber truck many years ago and in his later years worked in the woods for Robar's Pulp and Logging. He had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed his woodpile more than anything after his retirement. He received great pleasure from giving and a special joy giving to his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a gentle and kind man. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend. Cecil was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dona Loretta (Taylor); infant daughter, Carrollyn; brothers, Ernie, Guy, Obie, Les, Albert, Burleigh; sisters, Lena, Ruby, Etta. He is survived by his eldest son, Vincent Robar (Janet), New Ross; Fern Robar (Virgil), New Minas; Faye Casey(Vincent), Lakeview; Jeffrey Robar (Julie), Morristown; sister, Alice Hiltz, Berwick; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 21 in Morristown United Baptist Church, Rev. Brian Wheaton officiating. Burial in Morristown Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Evergreen Home for Special Care or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
