Douglas St.Clair Spindler 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Douglas St.Clair Spindler, 87, Lunenburg, formerly of Feltzen South, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born in Felzen South, he was a son of the late Forman and Ethel (Cook) Spindler. Douglas was a deep sea fisherman all of his life, starting at the age of nine and working until his retirement at the age of 69. He was also a member of Wesley United Church, Feltzen South. Douglas is survived by his wife, the former Rhea Winters, Lunenburg; son, Rex (Pam) Spindler, Middle Cornwall; sister, Shirley Wilneff, Big Lots. He was predeceased by brothers, Clyde, Gordon, Gilbert, and John. Friends are invited to share their memories of Douglas during visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, where funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m., Rev. Vivian Moores officiating. Interment will be in Feltzen South Cemetery, Feltzen South.
