Charles Gary Dorey 2008 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Charles Gary Dorey, 60, Martin's River, passed away September 28, 2008, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Martin's River, he was a son of the late Richard Dorey and Kathleen (Wamboldt) Hiltz. Throughout his illness, he never complained but gave it a good fight. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and spending time at his camp with the boys, his buddies. He was an honourary member of Martin's River Fire Department, having been a member for 25 years. Prior to retiring due to his health, he had worked at Collicutt's Building Supplies, Chester. He enjoyed the time he had with his six grandsons as well as family get-togethers. He is survived by his wife, Janette; daughters, Lou-Ann (Barry) Albert, Lunenburg; Crystal (Curtis) Myra, Chester; daughter-in-law, Samantha Barkhouse, Bridgewater; stepfather, Clifford Hiltz, Mahone Bay; sisters, Dot Dolimont, Clearland; Doreen (Pat) Kendall, Western Shore; Celie Wentzell (Pat Gabriel), Chelsea; Linda (Jim) Barss, Lunenburg; brothers, Donald (Joan) Dorey; Leo (Melinda) Dorey, all of Martin's River; Barry (Maureen) Dorey, Indian Point; grandsons, Justin and Donovan Myra; Mason, Ethan and Tyler Albert; Adain Dorey; several aunts,uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Richard Charles Dorey; sister, Norma Lantz; brothers, Louis Dorey, Keith Dorey. Visiting will be 7-9 p.m. today in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, in St. Martin's Anglican Church, Martin's River, Rev. Bonnie Baird officiating. Family flowers only please.
