Myrtle Martha DeMont 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Myrtle Martha DeMont, 88, Gold River and Martin's Point, died peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Born in Western Shore, she was a daughter of the late George and Lydia (Sawler) Richardson. She was a long-time member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Gold River, where she also sang in the choir. Myrtle is survived by her sisters, Marjorie (Stanley) Vaughan and Bernice O'Flynn and brother Donald (Betty), all of Halifax; sister-in-law, Betty Richardson, Liverpool; grandsons, Derek and Darren Hatt and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Borden; daughter, Laurinda Hatt; brothers, Maurice and Melbourne; sister, Marion Hiltz. As requested, there will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held in Western Shore Cemetery at a later date with Rev. Bonnie Baird officiating. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church or a charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, Chester.
