Shupe, 82, Kempt, Queens County, died June 20, 2000, in the North Queens Nursing Home in Caledonia. Born in West Caledonia, she was a daughter of the late Lendley and Mary (Carver) Forrest. She was a former co-owner of the Bo-Yoke Restaurant in Kempt and had previously worked in the North Queens Nursing Home. She enjoyed knitting and gardening greatly. Surviving are daughter, Marie Oickle, Perry Sound, Ontario; sons, Gilbert, Sonyaville; Richard, New Brunswick; Edgar, Liverpool; William and Rodney, Kempt; sister, Edna Carver, West Caledonia; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Glenora; sister, Annie; brothers, Calvin, Willis, Ira. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in Kempt United Baptist Church, Rev. Randall Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Kempt.
