Born in Springfield, he was a son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Gesner) Dunn. He was a retired sawmill worker and woodsman, working for various local companies. He enjoyed watching softball games, playing cards, and visiting friends during his retirement. Surviving are his wife, the former Ella Aulenback; daughters, Donna DeMone, New Germany; Gail Wilson, Upper Northfield; son, Michael Dunn, Mississauga; one grandson; sister, Dorothy Hallett, Middleton. Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Oschar and Florence (Westhaver) Baker and stepfather Aaron Anesty. In spite of her illness, Pauline never lost her sense of humour and always kept a positive outlook. She loved people and had many friends. She had a passion for bingo and going to restaurants. Recently she received a plaque from the Hubbards District Fire Department for her long-standing service as a volunteer. She was a member of the Fox Point Lionettes for many years. Pauline was a regular parishioner at St. Luke's Anglican Church in Hubbards. She leaves behind her loving family, her husband, Harold; daughters, Mary Ellen (Rick Marryatt) Flinn, Hatchet Lake; Dorothy (Greg) Spinney, Coldbrook; Sherri (Stuart) Dow, Goodwood; Jane, Hubbards; Heidi (Stephen) Sangster, Waterville; son, Michael, Hubbards. Pauline also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Sara, Adam, Aaron, Jeremy, Jessica, Tracy, Lisa, Michael, Angela, Ryan, and Justin and her most special great-granddaughter, Danika. Mrs. Annie Wynott 1935 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Annie, widow of Enoch Wynott, New Germany, occurred at the home of her son, James, early Thursday morning, following an illness which confined her to her bed for less than a week, although she had been in delicate health for some time. The deceased was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Shay of Windsor and was seventy years of age. She is survived by two brothers, Wallace Shay, Parrsboro and Martin Shay of New Germany; one daughter, Mildred, Mrs. B.V. Clark of Providence, Rhode Island; and two sons, Austin and James, of New Germany; also a number of grand-children and one great grand-son. Two granddaughters, Misses Ethel and Mabel Wynott who have lived with their grand-mother for some years, have the sympathy of their many friends. The late Mrs. Wynott was a self-sacrificing woman, having cared for her son's six children for fifteen years, following the deaths of her son and his wife. The funeral services at the home and at Lakeside Cemetery were conducted on Friday afternoon by Rev. T.G. Ott, rector of St. John's Church and were well attended by friends of the deceased. The pall-bearers were Messrs. Clarence Mosher, Daniel Morton, Charles Wynott, and Angus Feindel. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family.

Prior to retiring due to his health, he had worked at Collicutt's Building Supplies, Chester. He enjoyed the time he had with his six grandsons as well as family get-togethers. Born in Caledonia, Queens County, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Martha (Cleary) Dorey. She was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church and in her early years, she served as church organist and vocalist and later as an active member of St. Gregory's Senior Ladies Auxiliary. For many years, Vi was a newspaper correspondent for both the Halifax Chronicle Herald and the Liverpool Advance, reporting the social events of the Liverpool area. Although not a player herself, she loved the game of tennis and was instrumental in a very successful membership drive for the Liverpool Tennis Club. She became treasurer and was awarded an honourary life membership for her years of devoted service. Her other great loves were nature and animals. She felt enriched by the beauty of nature, appreciated all living creatures and inspired those around her to do the same. Her family and all those whose lives she touched will sadly miss her. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Marie Jordan, Canton, Massachusetts; Helen L. (Lawrence) Crowley, Weymouth, Massachusetts; Bea Doucet (Jim Davis), Halifax; grandchildren, Kathy Watts, Robert Jordan, Alissa (Crowley) Ford, Adam Crowley; great-grandchildren, Jack and Elisabeth Doucet Ford. Mrs. Isaac Feindel 1949 Bridgewater Bulletin Handwritten date: August, 1949. Following a lengthy illness, the death of Mrs. Florence Feindel, widow of Isaac Feindel, of this town, occurred at the Wamboldt Convalescent Home, on Saturday morning. Mrs. Feindel, who was 59 years of age, was born at New Germany, a daughter of Ada and William Tretheway. She came to Bridgewater to reside about thirty years ago. For the past five years she had made her home at Lunenburg. Her husband predeceased her about thirteen years ago. Surviving are two sons, Glendon and Donald, of Bridgewater; also two sisters, Mrs. Cora Foshay of New Germany and Mrs. Charles Joudrey, of Middleton; and two brothers, John and Maurice Tretheway, of New Germany. There are four grandchildren. The funeral was held from Sweeny's Funeral Home on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The service was conducted by Rev. George Beck, pastor of the United Church, Petite Riviere. Interment took place in Brookside Cemetery. Pall bearers were G.L.Weare, Stanley Forbes, Dawson Cantelope, and Elsworth Hebb.

Isaac Feindel 1935 The passing of Mr. Isaac Feindel at his home on Jubilee Road early Sunday morning, following a two weeks illness of flu, came as a shock to his immediate family and friends. He was 66 years of age and was born at New Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Feindel. About twenty-six years ago he married Miss Florence Tretheway, also of New Germany and since his marriage has lived at Middleton, Bridgewater, and British Columbia, where at the latter place he was engaged in mining. He was a respected member of the community and a good neighbour. Surviving are his widow and two sons; Glendon (agent of the Maritime Life Insurance Company) of this county; and a younger son, Donald; also four brothers, Simon and Edward of Lichfield, Idaho; Stanford of New Brunswick; Henry of Florida and Dan of Berlin, New Hampshire; and six sisters, Addie, Mrs. Barker of Saskatchewan; Amy and Naomi, Lewiston, Maine; Bertha, Mrs. Robert Silver and Mrs. Anna Smith, Lunenburg. Jim was employed as a mate and relief skipper with Fishery Products International, Riverport. He worked as a volunteer with the local Search and Rescue Organization and Big Brothers. He is survived by sons, Bradley and Adam; and their mother, Heather Ann Power, Maitland; sisters, Mary (Mrs. Hubert Fry), Lilydale; Madeline (Mrs. Kenneth Ferguson) and Berndaette (Mrs. Eldon Hall), both of Louisbourg; brothers, Ross and his wife Adele, Georgetown; Dennis, Richmond, British Columbia; several aunts and uncles. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, in St. Norbert's Roman Catholic church, Lunenburg, Rev. Paul Morris officiating. Interment will be held in Martin's Brook Cemetery, Martin's Brook. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

Born in Lake Centre, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and May Minnick. Surviving are her children, Brenda Gail Cross, Conquerall Bank; Roseanne, Dartmouth; Judson, Lake Centre; Wayne, Westville; brother, Garfield Minnick, Mount Pleasant. She was predeceased by her husband, Wesley Cross; companion, Eddy Nowe; sons, Ronald, Brian, and Edwin. No visitation by request. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday in Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial in Lake Centre Cemetery. Donations to any charity.
OBIT # 9537 - UNKNOWN PAPER - 3 APRIL 1949 Middle Musquodoboit - One of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of Middle Musquodoboit, Mrs. Mary White passed away at her home here early Monday morning, April 2 after an illness of eleven and a half years. Mrs White would have been 88 years old on May 14 and was born at Upper Musquodoboit. After her marriage to Samuel White she came to Brookvale where they lived until 1914 when they moved to Middle Musquodoboit where they have made their home. Although confined to her home by illness for over eleven years during which time she was tenderly cared for by members of her family , she took a keen interest in all affairs of the community and was especially interested in hearing about the work of the Church. Mrs White was a member of Middleton United Church and as long as her health permitted, she was a regular attendant. Her husband predeceased her 28 years ago. Surviving are four sons and four daughters; Milton, Brookvale, Matthew J., Melvin and Warren of Middle Musquodoboit, Grace (Mrs John MacDonald), Boston, Mabel, on the staff of Queen Elizabeth High School, Halifax, Emma and Edith at home. Also one sister Mrs Jennie Campbell, West Acton, Mass, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held from Middleton United Church on Wednesday afternoon with Rev. L.P.Archibald officiating. The many beautiful floral tributes bore silent testimony to the high esteem in which Mrs. White was held. Pallbearers were five grandsons, Munroe White, Graham White, Ira White, Douglas White, and Lloyd White and a nephew, Ronald Butcher. Interment was in United Church Cemetery.
UNKNOWN PAPER - CHARLES WILLARD JOUDRIE Pictou: Charles Willard JOUDRIE, 40, of St. Stephen Street, died Sunday, April 9, 1978, in Fort MacMurray, Alta. Born in Denmark, Pictou County, he was a son of Margaret (STEPHENSON) JOUDRIE and the late Archie JOUDRIE. Mr. JOUDRIE left Pictou Three weeks ago to accept employment with the Canadian Bechtel Industries. He was a member of Stella Maris Church. Surviving besides his mother in Windsor; and his wife, the former Beverley POIRIER; a daughter, Trina, 12; five sons; Calvin, 15; Kelly, 13; Lee, 10; Glen, 8 and Bevin, 3; all at home. Also surviving is a brother, James, Toronto. He was predeceased by a sister June. The remains will rest at the McLaren Funeral Home at a time to be announced. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
