Mrs. Stewart Wile 1949 Bridgewater Bulletin There passed peacefully away at her home in Hemford at an early hour Wednesday morning, November 23, at the age of 57, Mrs. Stewart Wile.She had been in failing health about a year; her sickness being borne with very great patience. Being confined to her bed, she was faithfully and tenderly cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Viola Mosher, who left her duties at Halifax to be with her mother. Mrs. Wile was Jessie Stockman, a daughter of Albertina and the late Harry Stockman, Nineveh. Being of a family of 13 children, she had been the first to be called to her eternal home. She spent her married life in Hemford. Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Viola Mosher and three sons, Alonzo, Lester, and Bernard. Four grandchildren predeceased her. There is one grandson, Clifford Mosher; five sisters, Mrs. Annie Veinot and Mrs. Stacia Bolivar in the United States; Margaret, Mrs. Naaman Silver, Helen, Mrs. Gordon Veinot, Hemford; Edith, Mrs. Austin Smith, Nineveh; six brothers, William , Truro; John, United States; Bernard in Ontario; Mark and Leonard, Nineveh; Garrett and Henry, New Germany. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the church, preceeded by a short service at the home, the deceased being a member of the church. Rev. Mr. Sach of the United Church, New Germany, conducted the service. Hymns sung were,"Tell Mother I'll be There," "Shall We Gather at the River," and "Rock of Ages." Her body was laid to rest beside her children at Hemford Cemetery The pall-bearers wwere Angus Veinot, William Crouse, Howard Silver, and David Mailman.

Born on March 27, 1916, in Stoney Island, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lizzie (Crowell) Brannen. Geneva was a schoolteacher in South Side and Centreville Schools from 1945-1949. She also was a shopkeeper with her husband, Earle, in Stoney Island. She was an avid knitter, winning many prizes with her skills. Geneva was a soft and caring friend to all, sharing food and stories with anyone who stopped by. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by son, Bobby (Norma), Gavelton; grandchildren, Marilee (James Ross), Oak Park; Chesley (Amanda), Upper Clyde; great-grandchildren, Brittni, Jade, Brandon, James Jr., Samantha, and Autom. She was predeceased by husband, Earle; brothers, George and Everet. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in H. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Barrington. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday in H. Clayton Eisnor 1927 Bridgewater Bulletin The little village of Pinehurst was saddened on Tuesday morning, December 27, to know that death had visited the home of Welton Eisnor and claimed as its victim their four months old baby, Clayton Sinclair. The funeral service held at the home conducted by Rev. C. MacRae was largely attended. Those who are left to mourn their loss are: Father and mother; five brothers, namely, Kenneth, Leo, Pearlie, Fred, and Harry; also a sister, Carrie.
Mrs. Welton Eisnor 1948 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Mrs. Welton Eisnor occurred at her home in Pinehurst on Monday, November 29. Apparently making a satisfactory recovery from injuries received when struck by a car two weeks previously, she had returned from the D.M. Hospital on Friday and her sudden passing on the following Monday was a great shock to her family and friends. This is the second bereavement suffered by this family within a year; a brother, William Mossman having passed away a year ago from injuries received when struck by a truck. The late Mrs. Eisnor was born in Pinehurst 64 years ago and was before her marriage Miss Rosie Mossman, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mossman. Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Carrie, Mrs. Lorimer Drew of Stanburne; five sons, Leo of New Germany; Kenneth, Pinehurst; Perley Fred, and Harry, at home. There are four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Charles Eisnor, New Germany and one brother, Frank Mossman, Dorchester, Massachusetts, also survive. The deceased was a member of the United Church. A kind and loving mother, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends who deeply mourn her passing. Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon, December 2nd., conducted by Rev. S.G. MacQueen, at the home and church in Pinehurst. Pall bearers were Austin Veinot, Richard Woodworth, Rex MacKay, and Archibald Penney. Burial was made in Pinehurst Cemetery.
Welton Eisnor 1955 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Mr. Welton Eisnor, a highly respected citizen of Pinehurst, occurred Wednesday, February 2, 1955, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lorimer Drew, Stanburne, with whom he had resided for the past two years. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Eisnor and was 87 years of age. Surviving are one daughter, Carrie (Mrs. Lorimer Drew), of Stanburne; five sons, Kenneth, Fred, Harry, and Pearlie, all of Pinehurst and Leo, of New Germany; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Lohnes and Miss Ella Eisnor, of New Germany amd one brother, Charles, of New Germany. The funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon, February 5th., at the United Church, Pinehurst, conducted by Rev. A.H. Mitton. Hymns sung were "Unto The Hills" and "Rock of Ages." Pall bearers were Douglas MacKean, Bruce MacKean, Earl Feener, and Lowell Veinot. Burial was made in the family lot at Pinehurst Cemetery.

John Keith Samuel Whynot 2007 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte John Keith Samuel Whynot, 72, Riverport, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Middlewood, he was the son of the late William Bradford and Verna (Zwicker) Whynot. In his earlier years, Samuel worked in the woods lumbering and then went to sea working as a scallop fisherman out of Riverport and later with National Sea Products, Lunenburg. He was a faithful member of Trinity United Church, Rose Bay, where he served for over ten years as a trustee for the church. Samuel was an avid carpenter and handyman and enjoyed spending time with family at home. He will be truly missed by many. He is survived by his wife, the former Joyce Langille; daughter, Darlene Conrad (Raymond Wagner), Oakhill; sons, John (Karen), Big Lots; Keith, Lower Sackville Donald (Cynthia), Lower LaHave; brother, Stanley (Eunice), Middlewood; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jessica, Michael ,and Jonathan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Clyde and an infant brother, Raymond. Friends are invited to share their memories of Samuel during visitation today from 7-9 p.m. in Dana L. Oak Hill - Mrs. Mamie Lillian Fralick 82, of Oak Hill died Thursday in Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Second Peninsula, she was a daughter of the late William Edward and Eunice (Carver) Meisner. She is survived by a son, Charles Whynott, Camperdown; three daughters, Ida (Mrs. Evan Nauss), Middlewood; Mrs. Hazel Snyder, Oak Hill; Myrtle (Mrs. Leonard Wamboldt), Cole Harbour; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three husbands, Leander Lopez, Timothy Whynott and Gordon Fralick, and a son, Leander Lopes. The body is in Wamback's Memorial Chapel, Bridgewater, where the funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Paul Cumming officating, with burial in Dayspring Cemetery. On December 14, 1918, one month later, Rev. Martell, who conducted her funeral, died from Spanish Influenza and pneumonia. He tended to many sick people during that epidemic.
Lucinda W. Morris 1918 Bridgewater Bulletin Lucinda W. Morris, the daughter of the late John B. Morris of this town, died on November 5th., and was buried on November 7th.; the services being taken by Rev. W.A. Martell, rector of Holy Trinity. Miss Morris was a young lady well-known, bright and of an optimistic disposition. She was more than daughter to her mother who is left - she was a companion and friend. All who knew her valued her friendship and cheery greeting. She will be much missed in the life of Bridgewater and by the public with whom she came in contact while performing her effical duties. The floral offerings were the finest seen her in years. A tribute by W.E. Marshall, registrar, recorded in the records of his office, wil be produced next week and is a fitting and appropiate epitaph.

She was a past Noble Grand of Bay View Rebekah Lodge, No. 48. She worked in Ontario at a candy factory and moved back to Nova Scotia in 1956. She worked at Wilson's Shopping Centre, Cape Sable Island School and the Seawinds Restaurant as a janitor. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and church members.
