Lohnes, daughter of the late Isaiah and Selena (Meisner) Lohnes. Surviving are a son, Douglas; and a brother, Fred, both of Bridgewater; a sister,Evelyn (Mrs. Gordon Meisner), Auburn, Mass.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth; a son, Donald; four brothers; three sisters; and a great-grandson. The body rested at Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater, where funeral service was held on Friday, March 16, with Rev. Willis Ott officiating. interment was in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.

OBIT # 5574 - HALIFAX HERALD - OCTOBER 1999 FRASER, Kathryn Bagnell - 66, died October 24, 1999, in Halifax. Born in Grace Maternity Hospital, Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Capt. Theodore W. and Florence (Pentelow) Bagnell. She lived most of her life in Halifax and was a teacher with the Halifax District School Board from 1970 - 1992. At the time of her death she was a member of St. Andrew's United Church, a sustaining member of the Junior League of Halifax and a member of the Genealogical Association of Nova Scotia. She is survived by her husband Paul M. Fraser, daughters, D Dawne Fraser, Halifax and Pamela Paton, Vancouver, B.C. She is also survived by grandsons, Christopher Paton and Jeffrey Paton. No services will be held at this time.
UNKNOWN PAPER - 23 DECEMBER 1948 KARL MARTIN MCKINLEY, 52, was found dead on the floor of his general store at Lower Onslow last night about seven o'clock, by his wife, who went to the store to seek the whereabouts of her husband who had not come home for the evening meal, as usual, an hour earlier. Mrs. McKINLEY found the front door of the store locked and the back door hooked from the inside and with some difficulty she forced an entry into the building. Death is believed to have resulted from a heart attack. The position of the body would indicate that Mr. McKINLEY was on his way towards the back door after locking up the front door on his way home to supper. His son Ronald, who operates a garage nearby, called on his father about five o'clock and found him in good spirits and in apparent good health. The McKINLEY store at Lower Onslow has been one of the old landmarks of the County. The late Mr. McKINLEY was associated in business with his father the late Wilbert McKINLEY as a young man took over the management of the store after his father's passing. He served in the Royal Air Corps in the First Great War, and later owned and flew one of the first privately owned planes in the county. The late Mr. McKINLEY is survived by his widow, the former Miss Bessie ROBERTS, of Diligent River, Cumberland County; a son Ronald Karl and a granddaughter Karen, Lower Onslow; and three brothers Percy, Medicine Hat; Clarence, Creston, B.C.; and Fred in Armstrong, B.C. Funeral arrangements had not been made up to press time today. It was the second bereavement in a fortnight for Mrs. McKINLEY. Her brother Percy West ROBERTS, was killed in a car accident near Glenholm on December 9.
LeRoy George Oickle 1984 Bridgewater Bulletin West Northfield- The death of LeRoy G. Oickle occurred at the Dawson Memorial Hospital on July 25, 1984, at the age of 64 years. He was engaged in the trucking and logging industries for many years, and prior to his death, worked with escavating equipment. He was a faithful member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, West Northfield, along with have been a retired fire chief and honourary fireman of the Northfield District Fire Department. Left to mourn his loss are his parents, Harlan and Edna Oickle of West Northfield; his wife, the former Naomi Crouse; a brother, Arlie of Waverley; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John and Joan of West Northfield; Barry and Heather of Cookville; and David, at home; and four granddaughters, Janice, Patricia, Marsha, and Sharon. He was predeceased by an infant sister.

William Albert Wentzell 1955 Bridgewater Bulletin The community of West Northfield and surrounding districts were greatly shocked on hearing of the sudden passing of one of its little folk, William Albert Wentzell, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wentzell, who passed away at New Germany on Friday afternoon, March 25th. He would have been five years old had he lived until April 2nd. He is survived by his parents and one sister, Barbara Ann. The funeral service was held on Monday afternoon from St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, West Northfield, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W.L. Myra, who chose as his text, Mark 10: 13-16. The childrens' hymns that were sung were "Jesus Loves Me" and "There's A Friend for Little Children." The pall bearers were Messrs. Walter Feener, Roderick Feener, Rex Bruhm, and Lawrence Bruhm. Interment was in the Maple Grove Cemetery. (William died while having dental work done.)

The deceased was 32 years of age and is survived by a widow and seven children, the eldest of which is only about 12 years old. Here is a case that should appeal to all who have a surplus of this world's goods. The mother is hampered with the care of this number of small children and is unable to work for them and their need is great. If each one would send a little of their store the burden for this poor woman would be lightened and the immediate necessity relieved.

The deceased had been ill for the past year or more and death was not unexpected. He leaves to mourn his loss, a widow and two children; also his mothers and two brothers, Robert and Walter. Before her marriage she was Winnie SABEAN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah SABEAN of Port Lorne. Since her marriage she has lived in the village of Nuttby. She had endeared herself to the people of the community, where she took a great interest in the little Baptist Church and worked in the Sunday School. She leaves to mourn her beside husband two sons Merle W. SULLIVAN and Gerald L. SULLIVAN, one brother Henry SABEAN in Surrey, New Hampshire and two sisters, Mrs. Alberta NEAVES, Kentville, and Mrs. Estella NEAVES, Halifax. The funeral took place on Tuesday, November 6 from the Aenon Baptist Church, North River. Rev. Dr. Bruce D. KNOTT pastor of the Nuttby and North River Churches conducted the service. Miss Ida NOWLIN was organist and led the choir. The hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Mrs. Sterling PURDY sang by request the solo, "Face to Face." Dr. KNOTT spoke from the text Blessed are the dead which died in the Lord. He referred to the splendid Christian character of the departed and her willing service in every good work. He spoke comforting and helpful words to the sorrowing. The large congregation which packed the church testified to the esteem in which she was held. The casket was covered with many beautiful floral offerings the expressions of love and sympathy from relatives and friends. The interment was in the cemetery joining the church. The pall bearers were her two sons, Merle W. SULLIVAN, and Gerald L. SULLIVAN, and nephews Ernest UPHAM, Harold UPHAM, Roy NEAVES and Ivan NEAVES.

Hebb which occurred at his home in Brooklyn, New York, on the 27ult., after a brief illness, will be learned with regret by his numerous friends not only in Lunenburg and Queens County but elsewhere throughout the province. Mr. Hebb was a son of the late George J. Hebb of Bridgewater and has resided for a number of years in Brooklyn, where he was in the employ of W.U. Telegraph company. Mr. Lemuel G. Hebb of Hebbville is a brother of the deceased.
