JAMES CAMERON - Many friends and neighbors were shocked to hear of the sudden death of the late Mrs. James CAMERON, Keble, who passed away at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Tatamagouche, early Monday morning, February 5. Deceased had been in failing health for some time but bore her suffering without a murmur. She was formerly Bessie GRAHAM, oldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George GRAHAM, Earltown, and was 56 years of age. Her kind genial manner endeared her to all who knew her. The funeral service was held at the Middleton Church on Friday afternoon, February 9, was largely attended and was conducted by Rev. H.H. BLANCHARD, River John. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Evelyn, (Mrs. Keith CARRUTHERS) Wawa, Ontario; Jean, Telephone Operator, Tatamagouche; one son, Carson, Wawa, Ontario; two sisters, Ina (Mrs. Mito CAMERON), Stellarton, Ethel, (Mrs. George BROOKS) Stellarton and two brothers, William GRAHAM, Truro and Robert GRAHAM, Earltown. All members of the immediate family attended the funeral. Hymns sung were "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" and "Will the Circle be unbroken." Pall bearers were nephews of the deceased - George BROOKS, Clifford CAMERON and Roland CAMERON, all of Stellarton; George CAMERON, Middleton, Roderick CAMERON, Keble, and James BAILLIE, River John. Floral tributes were many and beautiful. Interment was in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

Born at Parkdale, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Saunders) Frank. She was a member of Parkdale Emmanuel United Baptist Church and was involved in various community groups and organizations during her active years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Susan MacPherson; granddaughter, Tammy MacPherson; grandson, Terry MacPherson, all of Simpson's Corner; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Danny; son, Barry; sisters, Florence Kelly, Laura Collicutt; brother, Carl Frank. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Sweeny's Funeral Home, New Germany. Bernice was born on October 7, 1922 in Farmington, daughter of the late Orman Jacob and Louetta Rose (Crouse) Baker. Formerly of Farmington, she settled in Rosedale January, 1989, due to ill health; Rosedale became her home for 19 years. She was a member of Barss Corner United Baptist Church. Surviving Bernice are her daughters, Joy DeLong, New Germany; Mae Ramassier, Ontario; Gwen (Barry) Corkum, Dartmouth; son, Charles, Farmington; sister, Marjorie Varner, Stanburne; brothers, Carmen, Loran (Irene), Farmington; Lovatt (Mae), Green Valley, Ontario; grandchildren, Warren and Miranda, Dartmouth; Rickey, Trevor, and Charlene, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leamert; brothers, Frank, Angus, John; sisters, Blanche Slack, Bertha Eisener, Beatrice Taylor; infant brother, Francis and an infant sister. Maxwell Merrill Wentzell 1983 Bridgewater Bulletin Maxwell Merrill Wentzell, 78, Bridgewater, died Friday, September 30, at Hillside Pines Nursing Home. Born at Wentzell's Lake, he was a son of the late Hibbert and Emma (Cook) Wentzell. He was an honourary member of the Bridgewater Fire Department, a former member of the Bridgewater Curling Club, and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, serving on the Church Council for many years. Surviving besides his wife, the former Alice Wentzell, are a son, Linton, Wentzell's Lake; two daughters, Louise (Mrs. G.A. O'Shaughnessy), Halifax; and Betty (Mrs. Edison Allen), Miami; a brother, Cecil, Worcester Mass.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant son, Hector; two brothers, Claude and Laurie; and two sisters, Wilma and Audrey. The funeral was held from St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial was at Brookside Cemetery.

UNKNOWN PAPER - 25 JANUARY 1967 GEORGE TUCKER - The death of George TUCKER, Amherst Shore, occurred on Tuesday afternoon, January 10, at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. He was 90. He was born at Tatamagouche Mountain, son of the late George and Elizabeth (COCK) TUCKER. He was the last surviving member of a family of eight. The late Mr. TUCKER was predeceased by his wife, the former Nora NELSON of Tatamagouche, five years ago. He is survived by two sons, Merle of Brookfield, Carl of Hamilton, Ont., and a daughter (Ella) Mrs. Layton GREENO, Amherst Shore, with whom he had resided for the past four and a half years, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was a member and elder of Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche, from where the funeral was held on Friday, January 13. The service was conducted by the Rev. James FRASER. The choir under the direction of Mrs. Austin CREIGHTON, sang favorites of the deceased "Day is Dying in the West," "In the Sweet Bye and Bye" and John COULTER sang "The Old Rugged Cross." The pallbearers were nephews, Harry and Bruce TUCKER, Hugh and Gordon BAILLIE, Roy and Ralph McNUTT. Interment took place in Lockerby Cemetery with Harry BONNYMAN as Funeral Director.

On November 28th., Mrs. Andrew Westhaver, aged 29 years, afer a long illness, passed away peacefully to her eternal rest, at the residence of her father, Mr. Seth Prince of Lunenburg. Her funeral, conducted by Rev. D. Farquhar, took place on the 30th. Members of the Rebekah Lodge with which she was connected, headed the funeral procession to the cemetery and a large number of friends were in attendance.
Ellard Aulenback 1912 Progress Enterprise Mahone Bay News November 27, 1912. The body of the late Ellard Aulenback, who lost his life in the burning of the tenement house in which he resided in Charlestown, Mass., arrived by train on Thursday. Deceased was twenty-three years of age, the youngest son of George Aulenback of Farmville where the interment took place on Sunday afternoon. Rev. B.D. Knott conducted the burial service.

She is survived by sisters-in-law, Virginia Surette and Anne Surette. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Jules, Pierre, and George; as well as two sisters and three brothers in infancy. UNKNOWN PAPER - 29 JUNE 1950 JOHN ROBERT CAMERON - Hundreds of friends and relatives paid tribute to one of Earltown's best loved and highly respected citizens at the funeral service held on Sunday afternoon, June 25, for John Robert CAMERON, in the Earltown United Church, with Rev. Mr. Bruce, Tatamagouche, officiating. Hymns sung were "Nearer My God to Thee", "In the Garden" and "Abide With Me." "Jackie" as he was fondly known to so many, was a good citzen, a true friend and a devoted husband and father. He accomplished much in his quiet unassuming manner. His passing is keenly felt in this community, where he lived for all of his 34 years with the exception of the time spent at Aldershot, where he was stationed during World War two. Due to a heart condition he was not accepted for overseas service. He is survived by his widow, the former Dorothy FERGUSON, of West Earltown, three daughters, Misses Carol, Elizabeth and Joan, also his mother, Mrs. Catherine CAMERON; a sister, Mrs. Austin LYNDS of North River and a brother, Russell of the Royal Bank staff, Truro. The pall bearers were Alex FERGUSON, Donald FERGUSON, Henry FERGUSON, James LANGILLE, Douglas MacKAY and Kenneth THOMPSON. Interment was in the Village Cemetery. There was an abundance of beautiful flowers, silent testimonies of respect and sympathy. Our heartfelt sympathy goes to his bereaved family whose loss is irreparable.
