Born in Stellarton 76 years ago, Mr. Vallantyne was a former miner and lived in Ontario for many years, returning to this area a year ago in May. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George White, Caledon East, Ont.; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edna O'Brien, Stellarton. His wife and son predeceased him. The remains will rest at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Acadia Ave., today only. The funeral service will be held in Sutton, Ont., Saturday. Interment will be in Wilford Cemetery.
UNKNOWN PAPER - JAMES ROBERT REES James Robert REES, 61, died as his home in Toronto Dec. 27, 1979. Born in East New Annan, he was the son of John and Adeline (HUTCHINSON) REES. He served in the Armed Forces during the Second World War and was an employee of Ontario Hydro for many years. He is survived by three sisters: Nan, (Mrs. Fred P. LANGILLE) French River, Col. Co., Mildred, (Mrs. Henry A. MacINTYRE), Cranston, R.I., and Isabel, (Mrs. W. Howard WILSON), Willowdale, Ont., also one brother, Gordon, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother and brother, Clarence. The funeral was held Dec. 29, from MacDOUGALL and Black's funeral home with Rev. Harvey ALLEN, pastor of Kinburn United Church officiating. The pallbearers were Henry, James and Dale REES, nephews of the deceased, Ferguson LANGILLE, Ronald McGILLVARY and Brian RENNIE. He was born in Kingston, son of the late Mrs. Avard Baker. Mr. Baker spent the greater part of his life in this area where he was employed for a number of years as a carpenter and later at a service station. He was married in 1924 to Mildred Morse, Kingston, by whom he is survived. He is also survived by three daughters, Thelma (Mrs. Elmer Palmeter) Oakville, Ont.; Eva (Mrs. Arthur Foster) Kingston, Ont.; and Catherine (Mrs. Guy Morcau) at home; one son, Alden, San Mateo, Calif.; three sisters, Mary (Mrs. William Durno) Cambridge; Beatrice (Mrs. Hal Hatt) Wilmot; and one brother, Guilford, Kingston. Daniel Venoit 1928 Probably Halifax Chronicle Herald; Tombstone spelling is Veno. New Germany, April 17- Following an illness which extended over a period of eighteen months, the death occurred at his home in Union Square of Daniel Veniot, at the age of seventy-four years. Mr. Veniot was the son of the late Edmond and Mrs. Veniot of New Cornwall. The only surviving member of this family is a sister- Mrs. Austen Hamm of Mahone Bay. In early life he married Miss Julia Feindle of Union Square where he settled. He worked as one of the crew that constructed the first road through that district. His comfortable farm remains as a memorial to his life-long industry and thrift. Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons- Charles, Limerick, Maine; Edwin, Union Square; Cecil, Lethbridge, Alberta; Otto, River Hebert; and Perry, at home. In religion he was a member of the Anglican Church. Interment will be made inthe cemetery at Union Square on Saturday.
Mary Edna Grant 1937 Parrsboro Record Published: March 30, 1937. The death of Mrs. Mary Edna Grant, 69, occurred at the home of her son, Lenley, on Saturday, March 27th., after an illness lasting only two weeks. The late Mrs. Grant was born in New Germany in 1867, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Feindel. In 1887 she moved to Fox River with her parents and the following year she married the late John Grant, who with a daughter, Mary, and son, Jacob, predeceased her many years ago. The wedding was performed by Rev. Dr. Bowman of Parrsboro. Funeral services were Monday at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. E.L. Tuck of St. George's Anglican Church, of which Mrs. Grant was a devoted member, having charge of the service. Surviving relatives to whom the sympathy of the community is extended are two sons, Lenley and Joseph of Parrsboro; five grandchildren; two sisters, Hannah (Mrs. Reuben Keddy) of New Germany; and Sophia (Mrs. William Smith) of Parrsboro; ad an aunt, Mrs. Daniel Keddy of Truro. Pallbearers were Messrs. Harvey McAloney, John B. Canning, Blair Skidmonre, and Joseph Kendrick. Interment took place in the Anglican Cemetery. Funeral directors: Messrs. John and Gordon Pickard.

She was the former Maude MacDonald, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Angus MacDonald, Saltsprings, and was in her eighty- first year. She was a member of Christ Church, Stellarton, of Murray Temple Pythian Sisters, Westville and of Southern Cross Rebekah Lodge, Stellarton. Mrs. Vacheresse is survived by three sons, Bert, Westville; Bennie at Elliott Lake, Ont.; and Leonard, Camp Gagetown, N.B.; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Butler and one brother, Joseph MacDonald, who made their home with her. Her husband was killed in a mine explosion in 1932. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Richard Conrad, Grand Prairie, Alberta; Elmer Wamboldt, Ellershouse; Gary Young, Dayspring; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Lester and Emerson; sisters, Elsie (Mrs. Morris Whynot) and Lois (Mrs. Horace Dagley); and one sister and one brother in infancy. The body rested at Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. The fueneal service was held at 2 p.m. June 3, 1986, in St. James Lutheran Church, Branch LaHave, with Rev. Willis Ott officiating.
