She was a member of Zion Lutheran church, Lunenburg. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, spending time with family and friends. Marion is survived by her son, Everette (Margaret) Nauss, New Minas; sister, Mildred (Murray) Jodrie, Hebbville; brother, Warren (Iris) Veinotte, Newburne; grandchildren, Heather (Doug), Coldbrook; and Julie (Dumont), New Minas; great-grandchildren, Allie Rowe, Noah Fry, Lauren Richards, Brooklyn Richards; several nieces and nephews. ("The Big One" as David called it!") with his worshipping Buckie at his side. He has joined his parents for Christmas, Floyd Eldred, deceased 1966, and Beryle Genevieve "Daffy," deceased 1985. He was owner of Fancy's Solomon Gundy. He is missed beyond words by his loving sister, Jane Fancy, LaHave and Kitchener, Ontario; son, Dale, Hebbville; his aunt, Rose Deal, Oakville, Ontario; loving, faithful friends, Mike and Shelly Daniels, Murray amd Sudrey Eisner, Mike and Trudy, Rolley Himmelman, Sheri Atwood, and Valerie. She is survived by her husband, Lee; daughter, Jane and husband Brian; son, Blair and wife Joanne and grandson Tyler; sisters, Jean and husband Meredith Shankel, Halifax; Helen and husband Alfred Julien, Dartmouth; Frances Wood, Toronto, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ruth joined CKBW shortly after its inception and was heard daily on the air on a program called The Feminine Viewpoint. Ruth spent many hours donating time delivering Meals on Wheels, volunteering at the Food Bank and South Shore Regional Hospital, and calling on the sick. She retired as a cosmetician after working many years. Cremation will take place with burial at a later date. After his retirement, he continued to assist ABCO service representatives in the food and fishing industry and was still very involved in mechanical work. He was a member of First South United Church where he served as an elder, choir member, and was a former member of the Board of Trustees and Stewards. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Male Choir and served as vice-president of Bayport Cemetery Commission. Leon had a special love for life and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Born in Mill Cove, he was a son of the late James and Catherine (Harnish) Jennings. Crosby worked as a longshoreman, fisherman, and carpenter and was a member of St. Mark's Anglican Church, Mill Cove. He is survived by his son, Malcolm (Phyllis), Melvern Square; daughter, Joan (Mrs. Arthur Shupe), Mill Cove; granddaughter, Teena Marie; great-granddaughter, Nicole. He was predeceased by his wife, Fannie; son, Marshall; brother, Ellison; sister, Maltilda.Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Pastor Morris Mills officiating. Burial in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Fox Point. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shoreham Village Home for Special Care or a charity of choice.

John Sterling Bell 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, November 16, 2001. >From the collection of Gwen Christie John Sterling Bell, 67, Halifax, passed away peacefully November 14, 2001, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Shelburne, he was a son of the late Gordon and Jean (Lavender) Farmer. He liked to hunt and coach children's ball teams. He is survived by brothers, Basil, Calgary; Robert, Halifax; sisters, Pauline, Halifax; Catherine, Fredericton; Irene, Shelburne; Sylvia, Toronto; Priscilla, Shelburne; Lorraine, Toronto; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, George; sisters, Constance, Gloria, Amelia "Nin." Cremation has taken place and service will be held in Shelburne at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Children's Wish Foundation. His brother, Robert, will be having a reception for family and friends at his home on November 17, from 2-4 p.m.
