    3. Cora Blanche Veinot 1985 Bridgewater Bulletin Cora Blanche Veinot, age 92, of Pinehurst, died on Friday, December 20, 1985, at Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater. Born in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Hannah (Beckwith) Wiles. She is survived by two sons, Lowell and Harold, both of Pinehurst; a brother, Bernard of Worcester; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Austin; two sons, Lawrence and Ralph; two brothers, Borbet and Ralph; and a sister, Laura. The body rested at Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Patterson at New West Pine United Church, of which she was a member. Hymns sung were "The Lord is my Shepherd" and "Abide With Me." The organist was Mrs. Leila Blackadar. Pallbearers were Bruce McKean, Murray Feener, Ross Veinot, Keith Veinot, Allie MacKay, and Linton Harrison. Burial was in Pinehurst Community Cemetery.

    3. Austin Robert Veinot 1962 Bridgewater Bulletin The death occurred on Tuesday, March 13th., at his home, of Austin Robert Veinot, after a number of years of failing health. He was born at Upper Northfield, in 1879, son of the late William and Louise (Silver) Veinot. Surviving are his wife, the former Cora Wile; two sons, Lowell and Harold, both of Pinehurst; five grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Charlotte Ramey of New Germany. Funeral services were conducted from the United Church, Pinehurst, Thursday afternoon, Rev. Donald Himmelman officiating, assisted by Rev. Peter MacDonald. Pall bearers were Keith Veinot, Perry Veinot, Leon Veinot, Ross Veinot, Clifford Penney, and Carrol Minnick. Interment was in Pinehurst Cemetery. The large profusion of beautiful floral tributes spoke silently of the esteem in which the deceased was held by his many relatives and friends in his own and nearby communities.

Hergett - Harmony - Abner Wellington Hergett, well known Harmony farmer passed away at his home early Sunday morning, Sept. 19th, following several months illness. Born at New Ross 80 years ago, he was a son of the late David and Lavine (Brown) Hergett. He received his education in New Ross and remained there until 1918 when he moved to Kingston. He worked most of his life at coopering, farming and lumbering for S.S. Stevens. Following his marriage to Elizabeth Prime he moved to Harmony, where he has since resided. Mr. Hergett was very active in church and community life. Surviving besides his wife, are three sons: Burleigh, Kingston; Edward, Weston, Ont.; and Murray of Toronto, Ont.; three daughters, Ida (Mrs. Walter Cole) Kingston; Rita Barkhouse of Fredericton; Gertrude (Mrs. Arthur Baker) Fredericton, N.B. Seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. The funeral was held from the Harmony Baptist Church, Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. A.G.J. Steeves, of Kingston. He was a veteran of the Second World War serving with the Engineeer Corps. He was an electrician in Toronto until retiring in 1980. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. and the Native Sons of Canada. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He is survived by his wife, Joan (Smith); daughters, Jo-Ann and Hughina Grant, both of Liverpool; son, David (Anne), Richmond Hill; stepson, Terry (Faith) Smith, Bridgewater; 11 grandchildren; brother, Lawrence; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 15 sisters and brothers. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will take place 10:30 a.m. today in St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Liverpool, Father Brian Murphy officiating. Born in Burntcoat, Hants County in 1905, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Webber. Mr. Webber was an adherent of St. Paul United Church, Westville, and was a resident of Middle River for the past 25 years. He had operated his own sawmill in different areas of the county. Surviving are a son, Raymond Russell, Union Centre; two daughters, Isabel (Mrs. John Copan), Stellarton; Sharon (Mrs. Wayne MacDougall), Coalburn; and several grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers: Frank and Maynard, both of Burntcoat, Hants County. The remains are resting at the Eagles Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.. Donations made be made to the Cancer Society.

CHAMBERS Brule, March 12, 1941 - Martha E. widow of the late George Henry CHAMBERS died at her home, Brule Shore, Wednesday afternoon, March 12 after a long and severe illness which she bore with patience and endurance. Stricken a number of years ago she received skillful medical attention. Tender and solicitous nursing was given by her youngest daughter, Mrs. John H. ROSS of Detroit, who hastened home on learning of her mothers serious illness. Born at Brule seventy four years ago, she was the former Miss Martha STEVENSON. There her younger days were spent until her marriage to Mr. CHAMBERS in 1892. Since then, she took an active interest in all that pertained to the best interests of the community. A member of Barrosis United Church and the choir also a valued worker in Barrosis W.M.S. She will be sorely missed. Mrs. CARUTHERS was a great loved of flowers and enjoyed working with them. The fragrance and beauty of her garden was not only a source of happiness to herself, but it gave pleasure to all that passed by. This is the second time within a year the family have been bereaved, Mr. CHAMBERS having passed away July 1940. Left to mourn their loss are two daughters, Mrs. Russel BUCKLER (Hattie) Brule Shore, and Mrs. John H. ROSSO of Detroit and one son J. Andrew CHAMBERS at home. A beloved daughter, Mrs. Chas. REID (Gertie) died a few years ago. Two brothers and five sisters also survive: Emery STEVENSON of Lyons Brook, Newton at Edmonton, Mrs. James HEIGHTON (Lily) Cape John, Pictou Co. Mrs. Adam HARTLING (Sara) Port Dufferin, Halifax County. Mrs. Wm. SINCLAIR (Tena) Mattapan, Mass., Mrs. John HULCHIE (Rachel) Edmonton, Alta. Ten grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

Mrs. George Zinck (nee Sophia Elizabeth Harnish), of Hemford, Nova Scotia, was born December 4. 183_ and died January 3, 1907; aged 70 years and __days. Baptized January 36, 1831, and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church October 1, 1845, she was for 60 years a faithful communicant member of the same, and adorned her profession of faith by a godly, consistent, Christian life. She leaves behind 7 children, 39 grand-children and 32 great-grand-children to mourn their loss. Her remains were interred in the cemetery at Hemford by her pastor, the Rev. C.H. Little, January 5, 1907, to await the resurrection of the just on the last day.
