She is survived by a son, Charles Whynott, Camperdown; three daughters, Ida (Mrs. Evan Nauss), Middlewood; Mrs. Hazel Snyder, Oak Hill; Myrtle (Mrs. Leonard Wamboldt), Cole Harbour; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three husbands, Leander Lopez, Timothy Whynott and Gordon Fralick, and a son, Leander Lopez. The body is in Wamback's Memorial Chapel, Bridgewater, where the funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Paul Cumming officating, with burial in Dayspring Cemetery.     3. Howard Ernst 1975 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Howard Ernst occurred at St. Luke's Hospital, Middleboro, Massachusetts, on Sunday, July 6, 1975, following several years of poor health. Born in Union Square, April 22, 1900, he was a son of the late Amos and Lavenia (Oickle) Ernst. He went to the United States when he was 18 years old and resided there until the time of his death. The last few years he was a patient at Green Pastures Nursing Home, Middleboro. He is survived by six sisters, Mary (Mrs. H.E. Olsen), Baltimore; Minnie (Mrs. George Vautour), Clinton, Massachusetts; Grace (Mrs. Ira MacKay), New Germany; Vera (Mrs. George MacKay), Genevieve (Mrs. Leon Veinot), Upper Northfield; and Maude, Union Square; two brothers, Joe, Blockhouse; and Obie, Union Square and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister and four brothers. His body was brought to Union Square and burial was in the Union Square Cemetery.

OBIT # 8238 - EVENING NEWS - 16 September 1963 Stellarton- A highway collision in Pittsfield, Maine, on the weekend claimed the life of a Stellarton native, Mrs. William Beaudry, the former Hilda Francis of Plymouth Park. According to word received by relatives here, Mr. and Mrs. Beaudry had left their Wallum Lake home in Rhode Island to motor to St. Stephen, N.B., to visit Mrs.Beaudry's father, William Francis, who had gone up from here last week to spend a short holiday with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Francis. As near as can be ascertained, they had stopped at a campsite Friday evening in the Pittsfield area. When leaving they were involved in the accident., and it is thought the other car hit on Mrs. Beaudry's side of the car as she had multiple injuries. Mr. Beaudry is not in serious condition but in hospital in Pittsfield. They were taken to the Pittsfield Hospital, and on Sunday Mrs. Beaudry was removed to a larger hospital in Watervale, Mass., but she failed to rally, and died Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Beaudry, who was in her early 50's, had gone to the states to train as a nurse and had worked there for many years at the Family State Sanatorium at Wallum Lake. She retired but a few weeks ago. Mr. Beaudry is an x-ray technician with the same hospital. Besides her husband she is survived by three brothers, William (Bill) at Lourdes, Edward, St. Stephen, and Harvey, California; two sisters, Vera (Mrs. Cliff Bain), Stellarton, Mildred (Mrs. Thomas Irvine), Halifax. Her mother predeceased her. Bill Francis, Mrs. Bain and Mrs. Irvine left Friday when the word was received. Funeral arrangements were indefinite but it is expected the funeral will be held at Wallum Lake.

    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - ABEL C. WALL 1932. The death of Abel C. WALL occurred on March 11 at the home of his niece Mrs. James COX with whom he had lived for the past four and 1/2 years. Mr. WALL retired about 30 years ago making his home in Riversdale. The deceased is survived by an adopted son Walter and two brothers Edward C. Truro and William J. New Glasgow both retired from C.N.R. service. The funeral was conducted by Rev. J.W. GODFREY assisted by Rev. Mr. TOWNSEND. Mr. KIRKPATRICK was organist while Mr. MacKAY and daughter Isabel sang three favourite hymns "The Lord is my Shepherd", "Shall We Gather at the River" and "Sleep on Beloved, Sleep and Take Thy Rest". The remains were laid to rest in the MacLEAN Cemetery by those of his sister Mrs. Mary MacKAY who passed away 10 weeks ago.

Bridgewater Bulletin The very sudden death of Miss Evelyn Carver, eldest daughter of Alvin Carver of New Germany, took place suddenly at the residence of Mrs. Harrington on January 2, caused by pneumonia complications following influenza. Death was totally unexpected by her physicians and came while her sister was reading to her at her bedside. The funeral took place at New Germany on Saturday morning, Rev. MacRae conducting the services. A number attended the funeral from Bridgewater. Miss Carver was a young lady of excellent character and had many friends who mourn their loss.

    3. Mrs. George Lohnes 1928 New Germany, January 26- The funeral service of the late Mrs. George Lohnes was conducted in St. John's-in-the-Wilderness Anglican Church by the rector, Rev. S.E. Brown, Monday afternoon. Interment took place place in the church cemetery.The late Mrs. Lohnes, who had arrived at the advanced age of 98, was active and enjoying good health until a couple of years ago. Her illness, the result of a fractured hip, was of short duration. Her death occurred last Saturday morning. Her husband predeceased her twenty-nine years. She is survived by sons, Charles, Joseph, and William H., all of New Germany and one daughter, Mrs. Morrill, of Bangor, Maine.

    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - DAVID HALL 1929. There passed away at his home, Tatamagouche Mountain David WALL in his 78th year of his age. He had been in poor health for some time. The funeral which was held on October 16, was largely attended and was conducted by Rev. R.P. MURRAY, New Annan. The hymns sung were, "The Lords my Shepherd," and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." In his immediate family he leaves two sons, Walter and Clarence, and one daughter, Jane, who tenderly cared for her father during his illness.     3. Joshua Varner 1954 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Joshua Varner occurred at the Roseway Hospital, Shelburne, on Wednesday, March 31st., following an illness of several weeks duration. He had entered Roseway Hospital the previous day, going from Dayspring where he had resided for the past few years. The deceased was born at New Germnay 69 years ago and spent the greater part of his life there. He was the youngest son of the late Elias Varner and Lydia Feindel Varner. Surviving are two brothers, Uriah of Dorchester, Massachusetts and Kenneth of Stanburne, also a number of nieces and nephews. Fuenral services were held on Thursday afternoon, April 1st., from St. John's -in- the- Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany, conducted by the rector, Rev. W.R. Martell. Burial was in the family lot in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers were three nephews, Milton and Roger Varner, Sumner Gates, and Crosfield Bell.

    3. We always had a Raleigh man who came twice a year. He was Simeon Oickle from Blockhouse. He always came in, sat down, and had a visit. My mother always bought a bottle of pure vanilla flavouring every time as well as some other things. He had a whiny voice; I can hear it yet. He was born in Stellarton 61 years ago, a son of Mrs. John Bain and the late Mr. Bain. While he resided in Stellarton he had been a commercial traveller in the Maritimes, and left here approximately 17 years ago for Vancouver, B.C., later moving to Toronto. He was a member of the United Church. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Elsie Cuzner of Sydney; two sons, Lorne and Earl; two brothers, Clifford and Roland, Stellarton; two sisters, Dorothy at home and Margaret (Mrs. Raymond Benzanson), Eureka. He was predeceased by a brother and sister. The funeral is being held from the home of his mother on Acadia Ave. this afternoon.

    3. 0130 - ALEXANDER W. SHEARER July 16, 1935. Alex SHEARER, 60, years old Belmont resident met instant death Tuesday night shortly after 5 o'clock when he fell backwards from a moving truck on the Truro-Glenholme Highway near McKinleys Corner between five and 6 miles from Truro. Mr. SHEARER along with three other employees in MacKays' gravel pit was enroute home after the day's work. He seated himself on the tail end of William FIDDES' truck and it is supposed that he lost his balance and toppled backward. He was dead before any of the other men in the truck could reach him. He leaves to mourn a widow and seven children. Coroner Dr. W.R. DUNBAR and RCMP Constable MAXHAM arrived on the scene a short time after. The coroner did not order an inquest the cause of death being quite evident. The accident occurred near the entrance of William FIDDES' farm a short distance west of McKinleys Corner on the Truro Glenholme road. The body was removed to the FIDDES' home for examination. Ray TATTEN also of Belmont was seated in the rear part of the truck and it was he who first noticed that Mr. SHEARER had fallen off. He told Charles FIDDES and Lloyd STEWART who were in the cab of the truck to stop. When they arrived at the body it was found the Mr. SHEARER was dead. The men had been hauling gravel from MacKays' gravel pit for the construction work on the roads. Surviving in the immediate family in addition to the sorrowing widow formerly Miss Elizabeth MacDONALD of New Annan are three sons and four daughters.
