That might help some. Travel between Nova Scotia and Boston was extremely common in the 1800's and into early 1900's, mostly by ship. In fact a person in southwestern Nova Scotia was more likely to have visited Boston than to have ever gotten as far as Halifax, Nova Scotia's capital. Everyone had a "Boston Aunt".
