Her death was occasioned by heart failure, and occurred while sitting in her chair. Mrs. Marshall was a native of Bridgetown, where she was born in 1820. Her maiden name was Mary A. Marshall. Since her marriage to Capt. W.F. Marshall of this place she has resided in Bear River. Converted to God in her early life she was not baptized until after her marriage when she was baptized into this church by Rev. Mr. McLean who many years was a pastor here. Mrs Marshall was the mother of four children. Two of these survive her. Of reserved temperament and possessed of a meek and quiet spirit, she adorned well her Christian profession. Her memory is fragrant. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved husband and daughters in their sad and sudden bereavement. From the Baptist paper: Messenger and Visitor: 1891, Aug. 1891
