My James was born in 1824 but I don't know for sure that his parents were James Livingston and Isabella Bennie. Years ago, a cousin went to Scotland to do some research and he concluded this was our James because of the birth year and James jr. was a shoemaker, same as James sr. but has no real proof. In my search to verify this I have information on many James Livingstons. I will go through my notes and see if I can find more info. on other Jameses that fit your James.
