I really do not have any factual support for the connection. The farthest I've gotten is that I've found that my James Livingstone put an "e" on the end of his name, and I've found his headstone in Weymouth, Nova Scotia, which shows his lifespan as 1812 - 1900. The 1812 birth year disagrees with his age on censuses and ship records where he worked as a ship mechanic. Most of these other records point toward a birth year of circa 1824. I have been unable to make the connection back to Scotland yet. The only reason I know he was from Scotland is that his children (who moved to the U.S.) indicate on various U.S. censuses that their father was from Scotland. One son even indicated on a 1910 census that his father spoke Gaelic. I'm sorry I cannot say that my James Livingstone is definitely the same one in your research. However, if any of what I've said matches your research, I would be interested. Thank you. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
