Maximin Melanson and Esther Ryan were my great great grandparents. My great grandmother, Charlotte Melanson was their daughter. I have a great amount of history about most of my grandparents and different branches of my family, but this is the first mention I've found about these grandparents, although I've been looking for years. Charlotte married William Wallace McAlpine and migrated west to Colorado along with their son (my grandfather) Lemuel. Lemuel married grandmother Selman Smith and eventually moved on to Oregon. Are you part of this family?? I think Esther died around 1885 but am not totally sure of that. Did you ever find any info about her ancestry?
