They were driven by a gale, and ended up in Bermuda. In the spring of 1784, the JOSEPH, Captain Jonathon Walton, went to Bermuda and transported the survivors to Digby.William O'Brien appears to have been alone, either single or widowed. (page 227) - William O'Bryan, of Brier Island, sold Home Lot # 5, on Long Island , to Borden Thurber, on 22 April 1797. If I remember correctly, William O'Brien later settled at Gulliver's Hole (now Gulliver's Cove), Digby County. Hope this helps some... John
