I have the same record of Elmira ' s marriage ( to Edward L. Thurber), and it does indeed say her father was Elisha Titus -- perhaps he was Elisha Losee or Losee Elisha and only one name was recorded on the marriage records ??? From the book " Captain Isaac Titus, of Trout Cove, Nova Scotia " by Jerry Titus -- Losee Titus was " son of Joseph and Nancy (Smith) Titus ". Losee's wife, Mary D'Arcy was "daughter of James and Phoebe (Titus) D'Arcy " Hope this helps some... John Thurber
