In the book of proceedings of the board of agents locating the Loyalist Settlars, Samuel Tidd is recorded as being given grant 27 N in the town of Digby. His name is recorded in the civilian muster roll for Digby dated July 18, 1784. Samuel bought a lot 10/01/1788 (190 acres @ Boars Head) from John Caldwell at Cherry Valley, Little River, which is not far from Whale Cove which was where many of the Tidd's settled and is or was part of what was and still is 'Tiddville'. I hope this helps. Samuel is my ggggrandfather. I have more if you are interested. Betty
