Yes, I am familiar with the names you mentioned. Just one correction -- Isaac Thurber, who went to Campobello, was a son of Samuel Thurber and Mary "Polly" Lewis. Samuel Thurber and Mark Thurber were brothers, the sons of Borden Thurber and Sarah Sabin. Regarding John Billington : Our Sabin line does lead back to him, and he was on the Mayflower, along with his son, Francis -- from what I have read, they caused some trouble on the ship, during that voyage. John Billington has the dubious distinction of being the first man " legally hanged" for "wilful murder", in the American colonies. Closest I can find to a "famous" ancestor of mine ! (grin).
