The park, if I remember correctly, was named after him. He was married twice, his second wife being Deidamia Sabin (or Sabean, as it now is often spelled).Dedamia was a sister to my g-g-g-g-grandmother, Sarah, who married Borden Thurber. They were the daughters of Jeremiah Sabin and Susanna LaVallee. Deidamia is said to be the first English child born at Sissiboo (Weymouth) in 1765. Jeremiah Sabin was an early settler to Argyle, Yarmouth County, in 1762 -- By 1765, he had moved to the Weymouth area.Hope this helps some... John
