Hi, Just thought I could add a little here: Daniel Van Velsor, owned land at Cherry Valley (near Little River) in the early 1800's. The lot next to him was owned by John Caldwell and wife, Nancy (Van Velsor) Caldwell. The Caldwells later moved to the Culloden area of Digby County, purchasing land from Jacob and Sarah Van Velsor. ( Info from book " Glimpses of the Past from Long and Brier Islands, by Donald Outhouse - page 28).
