This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Robicheaus of various spellings, Deveau,Saulnier as a start Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SOC.2ACE/1323 Message Board Post: Hello, First let me tell you that the above spellings have all been found on various family members death certificates, baptism records, marriage papers and the list goes on.So I never seem to know just what spelling i am looking for but I know that true of many others too. I am looking for a few of my family members that no matter what way i turn I just seem to get no answers. I know they were all or most all were from Digby Co., and that most were baptized in the St. Vincent de Paul Church. I am looking for my gg grandfather, Pierre Robichaud he was born about May 5, 1857 and married Mary Elizabeth Deveau on or about 10/27/1879 at St. Vincent de Paul, Salmon River. I can not seem to find him out side of census, I have written the church but have received no answer about him. I have found a book that list him as Pierre of Meteghan the minor son of Gervais Robichaux. I am in hopes of finding at least one or two papers to document them in a scrap book I am doing for my sons. The second person i am looking for is an uncle my grandfathers brother. His name was Albert Ross Robicheau but am told he spelled it Robichau by his sons. The sons have no date of death on him or where he is actually buried they did suggest St. Ambrose but the chuch can find no record for his death. I have contacted Sweeny's funeral home and have received no answer from them either. I have a few others but I will start here. I would like to thank you all now in advance for the work you all do to help so many like my self trying to find their family ties. Angelique
