Robert was one of the founders of the town later known as Tiverton. Robert Outhouse married Sarah Caldwell in 1785. Their son Robert Outhouse married Rachel Ossinger. My husband is descended from their daughter Rachel Outhouse who married William Greenlaw. The Greenlaw's children were Bertha, Nettie and Boyd. Has anything been written or compiled about the Outhouse family? Does anyone know the name of Robert Outhouse's father? Was Nicolas his father or his brother? Have you seen the book, "Glimpses of the past from Long and Brier Islands" ? It has many references in it to Robert Outhouse. The book was written by Donald Outhouse - the last contact I had with him he lived in Yarmouth, and he knew more about Digby Neck than anyone else I ever met. I assume you have the book even though it was a limited edition, and are acquainted with Don. There is also an Outhouse reunion held every year. ----- Roland.
