Israel and am actively involved in the US National Family Reunion of the Israel Family. We have a book, "The Children of Israel" that was researched and authored by Dr. Kenneth Israel of Candler, North Carolina. We meet each year in varying places around the US and we have done DNA testing of the direct male descendants and are now looking into our background as we are probably descended from Jewish males and those of Spanish descent who came to the New World through Holland and the Dutch Islands in the West Indies and then to New Amsterdam. Our branch then went to Virginia and then to North Carolina. We are now spread all over the US and Australia.
